Legacy Direct is a non-profit portal to facilitate international strategic partnering opportunities for improving healthcare, affordable commercialization of new biotechnologies and building greater self-reliance in African communities. 

At an April, 2006 meeting in Chicago, the South African Consulate General and various stakeholders from academe, the biotechnology industry and philanthropic groups commenced discussions about the urgent need for an organization dedicated to fostering healthcare communication and collaboration in Africa.

We formed an informal Ad Hoc working group to develop our organizational mission and vision. After extensive research Legacy Direct developed two primary programs, the Legacy Direct Gateway and our HIV/AIDS Survival Treatment & Eradication Program [H/ASTE].
